Halloween

The African Princess

And the African family...
We celebrated Halloween with a party at Joss and Nadine in Aldergrove. House was decorated with scary stuff, we ate "fingers" and drank from skulls. It became a late night, good we stayed over at their place.

Party at the Bekar's

Adam's dad turned 60 and received a great birthday surprise party.
Here are the Herwigs arriving.

And these photos are historical as they capture Chris during his weeks with a mustache.

Adam's birthday party

King of the djungle, the "old" Mango is chatting away at the table testing Nate's chair.

Father & son in a bonding moment.

Malin got this new shirt at billabong while we bought present for Adam.

Adam & Jacquie's son Nate, 10 months old (we tried getting them to sit beside each other for this photo, little difficult...).

This is a historic photo you may only be able to see on this very blog. Adam in a stach! The evening ended with Adam shaving down his goatie to a mustache (yes, Chris might have had some influence). We are sure the moustach is gone by now...

Canadian Thanksgiving

Oma & Opa with Mango

Maybe you can get a glimpse of Chris' mustache in this photo? Shaving off the China beard in stages left this look for 10 days with a facebook vote on whether it should stay or go. It's gone.

Granville island

One of the best places in town is Granville Island. A small island, 15 min along the water from our place, it's housing art university, theatres, galleries as well as the biggest market in downtown Vancouver. Here is Sven's favourite morning coffee cafe with a view of False Creek.

Mango at the market

This is the False Creek Community Center (also on the Island) where we go once a week to Mango's music class.

Sven & Siv in Vancouver

Malin, her dad Sven and his wife Siv walking along the beach (10 min from where we live)

Yes, he has a mohawk... Lost his baby hair on the sides, not the top. Yes, he does look weird.

Siv has made this beautiful quilt for Mango! He loves to lie there and play and roll over.

Grandparents shopping for Mango. Yes, he is spoiled :-)

Huvudbonader

After 2, 5 weeks of constant use we lost Mango's sunhat...

Here in an Uighur hat

The indispensable (but lost) sunhat from Mango's cousin Mans.

Made in China.
