I Skummis

Sister Karin who came home for a visit from Lillehammer in Norway where she normally lives. Malin's grandmother Gurli is proudly sitting with Mango (in front of Malin and her dad) - her grand-grand-son.

Malin, farmor and Mango (a special moment...).
Mango was so fascinated by Pippi Longstocking that Karin found among her childhood toys that Malin bought one for him as a present. His first doll!

Mango and Karin

This amazing carrier was a present from dad and Siv. This test ride felt great and we are looking forward to many great hikes and adventures to come!

Enjoying the beach...

Mango, morfar, Siv and Joel at a lovely spot by the beach close to Bastad

Here we are at "our spot" or just straight down to the sea from the house where my dad and Siv live. Mans called for "fika" and Siv quickly prepared hot chocolate, mums!

On the commuter train from Angelholm to Copenhagen. A curious little Mango is following what's passing by outside the windows...

Family & friends

Lena and Mango. Note Mango's outfit. It's in honour of the local hockey team "Rogle" - their colours and with their emblem at the front...

Malin's cousin Emelie and Malin's aunt Ingrid are playing with Mango.

Annica, Emmanuel, Savanna, Leona, Olivia...

Malin's oldest friend Annica with her family: Emmanuel, Savanna, Olivia and Leona came for dinner. So lovely to see them all!

Savanna is Malin's god daughter and has just started studying a media programme that includes phototography (she is very good with the camera!).

Skalderviken

Mango just started trying solid food while in Sweden. The first taster was potatoes. Mango didn't seem to mind the taste but had some trouble swallowing in the beginning.

Malin's sister Maria, Mango and Gustav's fiancee Anna playing on the carpet.

Malin's brother Gustav is giving Mango an early Christmas present... Paper is great (and so was the baby monitor that was inside)!

Maria and Mango taking a bath...

Mango in Angelholm, Sweden

So here we are in front of Vancouver International Airport, ready to get on the plane for that first special trip to Sweden. We flew Vancouver-London, London-Copenhagen and then took the train to Angelholm, Malin's home town. Mango did great on the planes. Though this time he thought it was more of a fun place then when we went to China and he slept the entire way. Now it was more exciting to check out the lamps, videos, people going to the bathroom...

Mormor (grandma) Gittan with Mango. It was truly special to see him together with my parents, siblings and close friends.

Mango and Sandy (Gittan's husband) became really good friends. Sandy introduced Mango to the grown-up world of card playing, e-mailing (he got his own account) and other exciting stuff...

Vancouver

Canadian flag - part of the Olympic games preparation? Anyhow, it's 100 days left to the 2010 Olympic games in Vancouver and we can feel it. Every day there is news, scandals, torch relays, clothes collections etc etc being announced.

Jolly jumper

We got this jolly jumper yesterday. Mango loves it.

Mango & Music

Chris took a month-long drumming course in India, got these drums and is now back to practicing the ta-ta-ta. Mango seems to enjoy following the moves and make some of his own sounds.

In the "music-together" class we have gone to once a week (last one today), these eggs were popular. Don't think we will continue the classes though. They were nice and fun and Mango liked being involved in singing, rhythm and watching the other kids but somehow it was a bit weird. He got his own egg for now and we will hopefully find another group for him to practice with eventually.
