Post-bootcamp cake

Malin and Mango have been going to stroller bootcamp for quite some time. Beside being outdoors, getting exercise, enjoying the view of the ocean the big incentive is hanging out with the other moms and babies. Here they are celebrating Saskia's birthday with coffee and cake.

... and banana for the monkey

The birthday girl Saskia blowing her first candle together with mom Elaine (cool and very yummy cake showing off a dutch cartoon).

1st Avenue

Curious George / Nyfikne Nicke checking out what is happening on 1st Av. Now that he can stand by himself the big window has opened up new opportunities to see birds, bikes, cars and the customers of Rocky Mountain Flatbread Restaurant.

Eric and Mango sharing the fun on the street and playing games that made Mango giggle.

Settlers with Eric & Amanda

Amanda has been the greatest guide to Vancouver. She knows all the restaurants, stores, stories and is just such an amazing friend.

We played Settlers, all of us were quite close at winning and the tension rose among the contesters... (We will miss you, Eric & Amanda!)

King of Settlers (for the night...)

Toys

Sometimes anything is a toy. Like a box that will be shipped to NY acting as a house or a tunnel.

Sometimes something special is the favourite toy. Like this standing tray of music goodness borrowed from Nathan. You don't see on this still photo how the body is swinging back and forth to the music...

Visit in Port Moody

Concentrated on the excitement at the Sky Train...

Nathan and Adam at the playground in Port Moody.

Mango and Nathan

Mango bewildered by Nathan's toys... Here walking on his knees while pushing the "learn-to-walk-thing" ahead.
Mango tries to follow Nathan to see where he is going when he's supposed to go to sleep. Turned out that Mango could walk the entire flight of stairs by himself (though it was his first time in stairs). Pretty proud :-)

Cousins visiting

Mango's cousins Solena and Diego were visiting Vancouver (from Canmore) during Easter. They loooove little Mango and he was clearly looking up to the big kids.

Diego has written Mango in the sand.

Solena and Monika

Solena introducing Mango to sand... (but pay attention to how tight she is holding on to him, her little doll...).

Swinging

The last week Mango tried swinging for the first time and he is hooked. Don't try to stop and take him out of the swing...

Eating

Mango is now eating really well by himself, here small pieces of potatoes. Salmon, sandwich, cheese are also popular finger food. Yoghurt and cheese are high up on the list of favorite foods.

Playing air guitar

Check out the air guitar star!

ps. even if the window looks black, try clicking on the play buttom and it should work.

Lorraine visited us

Lorraine and Malin were close colleagues in Liberia (arrived in Monrovia at the same time, shared office for 2 years) and became a very dear friend of ours. She is now working for the Canadian Government in Ottawa and came out west for a visit during Easter. Here she is under one of Chris Liberia photos...

Papaya!

On March 27th, Mango got a new wonderful little cousin, Malin's brother Gustav and his girlfriend Anna are the lucky parents. We think her name should be Papaya!

Breakfast in Seattle

From Bellingham via outlets, great dinner and very nice hotel to breakfast. We then spent the day enjoying Seattle by foot - Pike's Market, Waterfront, Pioneer Square, monorail, space needle, music museum, some shopping...

yes, Mango was also there...
